Wizart Animation is refreshing its brand identity, beginning with a new logo: a timeless “W” symbol.
The new design replaces the current logo, which Wizart has been using since its founding in 2007. The animation studio has seven family features and two preschool TV-series to its name, as well as a namesake animation school.
The studio’s portfolio of internationally acclaimed animated titles includes the Snow Queen franchise, Sheep & Wolves, Yoko, The Tales of Wonder Keepers, as well as brand new franchises Secret Magic Control Agency. Its projects have been theatrically released in over 150 countries, acquired by major global streaming services, and selected at various international festivals.
Vladimir Nikolaev, General Producer: We have rethought our logo to make it more iconic, simple, and meaningful. It will become an essential part of our brand refresh.
Aleksey Zamyslov, Art Director: The stars in our logo symbolize our creative people: the employees, all of whom put their heart and soul into movie production. Our team bring their unique talents and skills to all of our projects.
The new logo arrives at a turning point for Wizart. During the pandemic, the company has expanded its audience to unprecedented size by partnering with global streaming services. Nothing exemplifies this new direction better than its film Secret Magic Control Agency (image at top), which is on Netflix.
The feature, which is based on the Brothers Grimm’s tale of Hansel and Gretel, was first presented at Cannes’s Marché du Film in 2019. It drew the attention of Netflix, and Wizart engaged in negotiations with the streaming giant that continued at subsequent markets. Netflix ended up releasing the film globally in March 2021.
