The International Animated Movie Market (Mifa) has been welcoming the representatives of the animation segment in Annecy, Eastern part of France.
Traditionally one of the major events in the animation industry will gather over 3000 participants and over 430 buyers and distributors; according to the organizers, over 66 international exponents from 74 countries will take part.
Within Mifa, at the Russian Animation stand (4.D14), Wizart will present its two new feature projects – “Ruslan and Lyudmila” and “Hansel and Gretel,” whose production Wizart Animation is planning to finish by the end of 2020.
The studio will also tell about their plans on the development of the TV series “The Snow Queen: Keepers of Wonder.” The series is targeted at pre-school and elementary school age children. Currently they are working of the first season, which will consist of 52 episodes, 12-minute long each. After the success of The Snow Queen franchise, the producers are eager to conclude a global agreement on the distribution and, considering their wish to develop new markets, they want to do it with companies from China, Latin America or Europe – the territories where The Snow Queen characters have acquired the biggest numbers of fans.
At the Mifa market that goes together with the international animation festival Annecy, the Wizart producers have planned a number of meetings and discussions about the joint production with global studios that produce animation content.
We’d like to remind you that during the festival, Annecy City becomes some sort of Mecca for animation – just like Cannes, Berlin or Venice – as it gathers so many professional in the animation field.
The organizers intrigue that this year all animation industry representatives will find things to watch and listen to. Apart from other pitches, screenings, lectures and master classes, the business program of the event includes the Work-in-progress screenings, the theme exhibitions Brazil Frame by Frame – 100 Years of Brazilian Animation, Arts Like Disney’s: Challenge Accepted, the most burning relevant events like Women in Animation World Summit – INCLUSION, and a number of conferences, in one of which — New Territories of International Animation – Wizart Animation’s Executive Producer Vladimir Nikolaev will take part. https://www.annecy.org/programme/index:rdv-200001500879
